Wieliczka Salt Mine


The Wieliczka hills are very rich in salt rocks and that is why from 1 3th century till now miners have extracted salt from underground. Nine levels mine has 300 km of tunnels, where you can find galleries with works of art, statues and altars sculpted in salt. This is an exciting trip into the past of a major industrial undertaking of medieval Cracow and Poland. For sightseers it's a great place to visit in both rainy or hot days because in the mine there is constant temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and therapeutic climate.
